Melisa Cook is the Southeast Market People Leader for PwC, one of the world’s largest professional services firms. She is responsible for executing the National Human Capital and Inclusion strategy which is to attract, retain, develop and inspire top talent.

With more than sixteen years in the field of human resources, Melisa’s expertise spans across the core capabilities of talent management, sourcing, onboarding, diversity & inclusion, facilitation & training, coaching, change management, and risk management.

In her role, Melisa partners with market leadership, the human capital community and the national centers of expertise to tailor implementation plans that best serve the 4500 people across the Southeast within PwC. Melisa leverages her knowledge and organizational development capabilities to enhance the people experience and to create a culture that is truly distinctive. She is a trusted business adviser to partners, teams, and individuals in working toward reaching business and people experience objectives.

Melisa earned her degree in Communication in 2001 and holds credentials as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Association of Black Accountants, Ascend, and the Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. Melisa and her husband, Mike, live in Atlanta, Georgia with their children, Palmer and Phoebe.
