Angela is a creative, strategic fund development professional with more than twenty years experience growing the resources and capacity of nonprofit organizations to meet their missions and make the world a better place. She has helped raise more than $100M in grant support, revitalized special event traditions to bring in more dollars and friends, collaborated on direct response efforts targeted at new audiences, and even helped a national nonprofit identify new tools to leverage their supporters’ good intentions. She is certified by the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI) and is a BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer. She has supported a wide range of nonprofits, including safety-net health centers and Ryan White Part C comprehensive outpatientprimary care programs, arts organizations, museums, environmental advocacy groups, youth services, local governments, grassroots campaigns, and more. She volunteers with the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida as a Community Coach (Class V) and is the incoming president of North Florida Grant Professionals, a GPA Chapter. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Angela and her wife, Lori, moved to the Jacksonville area in 2012. Both are avid gardeners and love the wild outdoors, be that a back country mountain range or a postage stamp of native plantings in an urban yard. “As we move into our next 20 years, Angela will play a key role in growing the financial foundation of our agency so that we can continue to meet needs of our LGBTQ youth and the community,” said Cindy Watson, JASMYN executive director. This addition to the JASMYN team is due in part from a grant received in October 2014 from the LGBT Community Fund at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida, support from the Chartrand Foundation, and the commitment of the JASMYN board of Directors.
