Dr. CeCe Rivers

Dr. Cecelia “CeCe” H. Rivers is the Assistant Vice President of Western Region Campuses at the University of Central Florida (UCF), Orlando, Florida. UCF is the largest university in the state of Florida, and the nation’s second largest with more than 60,000 students. Dr. Rivers provides leadership of three of UCF’s eleven regional campuses and maintains essential partnerships with state college partners, local business and industry, and many other community-based organizations in central Florida. Prior to her current assignment, she served as Assistant Vice President for Central Regional Campuses, including the Orlando Downtown Academic Center which opened under her leadership in 1996; and director of Special Programs/McKnight Center of Excellence.

Dr. Rivers is a graduate of the National Association of State Colleges and Universities’ Academic Leadership Institute; AASCU’s Millennium Leadership Institute; and the Summer Institute of Women in Higher Education Administration. She earned a B.A. degree in Sociology from Bethune Cookman College; M.A. in Guidance and Counseling, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UCF.

Rivers is a member and past president of Florida Executive Women, Florida Association of Branch Campus Administrators, and National Association of Branch Campus Administrators. She serves on the boards of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, LifeStream Behavioral Center, United Way of Lake/Sumter Counties, and Eti-Keys Training Group, Inc. She is also a member of the Chamber and Economic Partnership of Ocala/Marion County and South Lake Chamber of Commerce. Rivers serves on numerous scholarship committees, and supports the Community Foundation of South Lake Women’s Giving Alliance. She was nominated for an Orlando Business Journal “Women Who Mean Business” award, and received the South Lake Black Achievers Educational Achievement Award.

Rivers volunteers at her church, and runs her own wedding and event planning business. Most of all, she cherishes quality family time with her husband, Chuck, four daughters and three grandchildren. She is resides in Orlando, Florida.
