Kirk Zell is currently the General Manager of the Florida Division. Kirk joined Gordon Food Service in 1981 as a Salesperson in Saginaw, Michigan. Before that, he was a Gordon Food Service customer as General Manager of the Machus Hungry Fox Restaurant. In 1985, Kirk moved to Indianapolis, Indiana to open that market. He eventually became the Area Manager and then the Branch Manager. In the year 2000, Kirk returned to Michigan to serve as the Manager of the Detroit Sales Branch. In 2004, Kirk became the General Manager of the newly-formed Great Lakes East Division and held that position until 2013 when he moved south to his current position in the Florida Division.
Kirk is also the President of PBJ Outreach, a Non-Profit organization that serves homeless people in the Detroit area.
Kirk is a graduate of Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Institutional Management in 1979. He and his wife Shelly currently reside just outside of Tampa, Florida and have two adult children.
