Kay Schwartz

Kay SchwartzKay is responsible for delivering integrated HR strategic solutions for the USAA Tampa market. She joined the company in September 2013 as a Senior Talent Programs Advisor on the Talent Acquisition Strategy and Planning team. She stood up the program management office, and led the development of enterprise sourcing strategies as well as the development of the enterprise processes that support these strategies. She has served as the Military Hiring Advisor for USAA leading the corporate effort in recruiting and hiring veterans and military spouses.

Prior to joining the HR Team, Kay was the Human Resources Business Partner for Daymon Worldwide for 4.5 years. In this role, she provided life-cycle HR support to 26 account teams in 17 states.

Kay is an Air Force veteran having spent 20 years on active duty. As a personnel officer she worked at all echelons of the Air Force from base level to headquarters staff level. She deployed as the Joint Director of Personnel of the CONUS NORAD Region for Operation Noble Eagle supporting the protection of the continental United States from further terrorist aggression from inside and outside U.S. borders. She also deployed as the Coalition Deputy Director of Personnel of the Multinational Security Transition Command – Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom working directly with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense standing up human resources process for the new Iraqi Military. Her awards include the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters. She retired from the US Air Force at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Kay is a graduate of Memphis State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She also holds a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University.
