Chris Gonzalez is an Executive Director of USAA’s Property Claims operation. Chris provides leadership to approximately 300 Property Adjusters who work primarily in Texas. He also serves as the on-site Property and Casualty claims executive for the 350 claims professionals who work from USAA’s Tampa Crosstown office.
Chris has worked in the insurance industry since 1988 and has been with USAA since October 1997 beginning at the Tampa Commerce Park office. During his tenure at USAA, he has held a variety of leadership roles in the Property and Casualty Company and in Human Resources. In 2004, Chris moved to USAA’s headquarters in San Antonio, TX and then returned to the Tampa Crosstown office in 2015 where he serves in his current role.
He is active in USAA’s diversity and inclusion programs and has served as USAA’s executive sponsor for the Tampa PRIDE parade and has co-sponsored USAA’s participation at the Tampa MLK march. Chris holds both a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University and actively volunteers in the community. He recently served as a guardian to a World War II vet for the Honor Flight of West Central Florida organization.
