Matthew Hirst is a senior business leader, talent strategist, and I/O psychologist. He has over 30 years of mid- to senior-level experience in operations, employee relations, organizational readiness, talent planning, organizational communications and branding, and leadership development. He currently serves as the senior director of talent, organizational development, and learning for GME, the GameStop family of gaming, mobile, and entertainment brands that includes GameStop, EB Games, Kongregate, Game Informer, Micromania, Simply Mac, Spring Mobile, and Think Geek.
Matt is currently completing a Ph.D. dissertation in psychology, which studies the relationship between intuitive decision-making and follower trust. He also holds a doctoral-level specialist degree in educational leadership, a master’s degree in management, and undergraduate degrees in management and finance.
Matt’s family includes a daughter, son, and a nephew that he and his wife have been raising for about nine years. Matt serves on the board of directors for the Grief and Loss Center of North Texas, the executive board of ATD Dallas, and advisory boards for the University of Texas at Dallas and Capella University. He and his wife are actively involved in dog rescue and foster.
