Karen Feagins is Chief Operating Officer at WJCT Public Broadcasting and is a familiar voice to many First Coast audience members. She joined WJCT as host of 89.9 FM’s Morning Edition in 2005 and has filled a variety of roles in radio, television and management at the station. As news director, she launched the wjctnews.org website and edited the Murrow award-winning series, Diving Deep: Examining Threats to the St. Johns River. She has been an integral part of many WJCT productions including First Coast Forum, the Health Matters television series and the Voices of the First Coast oral history project. Karen holds a degree in broadcast journalism from The University of Missouri and spends much of her time outside of work exploring Jacksonville with her two daughters.
