Adelino Rivera joined The Nature’s Bounty Co. in October 2013 as Site Director, Manufacturing, Florida. Recently the scope of his responsibilities was expanded adding the Texas and Arizona manufacturing plants. In this role, he is responsible for leading manufacturing operations at 4 facilities, and building an organization that creates a competitive advantage for The Nature’s Bounty Co. by focusing on safety, quality, service, efficiency and organizational capability. Adelino is driving the building of a High Performance Organization (HPO) which needs the diversity of all our associates and their inclusion in driving our business results.

Prior to joining The Nature’s Bounty Co., he was the Director of Manufacturing for Frito-Lay, Inc. in the Orlando, FL site. In that capacity, he collaborated with his site peers and aligned his teams to improve the site performance by increasing throughput and yields, reducing $cost/unit, waste, downtime and customer complaints, and maintained the site safety performance at world class standards. This performance led the site to the Top 5 ranking of the Manufacturing Excellence Award for five (5) years. Adelino also was the Executive Sponsor for the Hispanic Network (Adelante) for the Orlando site which participated in several diversity initiatives during the year.

In his previous role of Operations Director for Frito Lay-Quaker, Puerto Rico, Adelino led the supply chain functions for production, quality, engineering, materials management, manufacturing, and logistics functions relating to sales, marketing, and distribution operations of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. During his 8 1/2 years in Frito Lay Puerto Rico the team coordinated implementation of cost improvement program that resulted in savings of $1,150K in 2002. Improved on-time delivery from 95% to 98% by implementing a flexible manufacturing concept and implementing autonomous teams.. Achieved highest score for four consecutive years from corporate environmental auditors (1999 –2003). Partnered with the sales team in implementation of virtual warehouse concepts that resulted in sales increase of 3%. Plant received Corporate Quality Award for achievement of Frito Lay Compliance Challenges in 1999 – 2000. Reorganized logistics operations to support the integration of the Quaker Oats Company product line acquisition attaining 50% reduction in headcount with zero impact in customer service.

Adelino earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from University of Puerto Rico.
