Wendy executes Orlando Health’s talent strategies to ensure business outcomes are achieved, cultural initiatives are successful, and team members are engaged. Wendy joined Orlando Health in 2012 and oversees the Talent teams in Human Resources, which includes Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Talent Systems. Her role has responsibility for hiring talent, orientation and onboarding, leader and physician coaching, leadership development, performance and succession management, career development, engagement, and the systems that support those efforts. Prior to joining Orlando Health, Wendy was a leader in engineering and high tech industries, focusing on talent acquisition, talent management and leadership development. Wendy is an experienced and certified executive coach, providing thought leadership and guidance to leaders and team members. She directs a variety of HR strategic initiatives.

Wendy received her Bachelors in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, and her Masters of Human Resources from Rollins College. Wendy’s certifications include ICF Associate Certified Coach, Hogan Assessments, Myers Briggs, Right Path Resources, SHRM-CP, and a Professional in Human Resources.

Wendy has been instrumental in supporting programs and practices to actively recruit, retain and develop diverse team members of varying ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Wendy has designed a talent management structure that supports inclusive initiatives, and she partners closely with other Orlando Health’s directors and senior leaders in the organization to ensure that inclusiveness is a core competency and woven into the culture of the organization. She has ensured that diversity and inclusiveness initiatives have synergy with patient experience, quality and other strategic initiatives. Under Wendy’s guidance, Orlando Health has increased its leadership development offerings with a focus on leading diverse teams, and teams of multiple generations. Wendy has also designed and implemented emerging leader programs and career development programs, focused on exposing team members from all across the system to advancement opportunities. Wendy and her team worked closely with the critical care professionals that provided care during last year’s Pulse tragedy, and provided internal coaching to build resilience following. She continues to build strategies, programs and creative offerings to support the expansion and success of diversity and inclusiveness at Orlando Health.
