Raquel Egusquiza


Raquel “Rocky” Egusquiza is Vice President, Community Affairs, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. In this role, Egusquiza works to develop the company’s short-and-long term strategic direction and planning for community relations activities as they relate to the Telemundo Network and the cable channel NBC UNIVERSO, in conjunction with the NBCU Corporate Social Responsibility staff and parent company Comcast’s external relations team.

Having previously served as Vice President, Multicultural Markets for AARP, Egusquiza created and executed an organization-wide multicultural strategy that increased member awareness, engagement, retention and acquisition, leveraging efforts across all AARP business units. She developed an external partnership strategy with national organizations aligned to supporting goals in advocacy, human resources, membership, community building and foundation impact areas. Egusquiza also served as external spokesperson and association representative for AARP’s Hispanic initiatives in the community.

From 2001 to 2009, Egusquiza served as Manager and was promoted to Director of Community Development and International Strategy for Ford Motor Company Fund, where she managed corporate relations and philanthropic initiatives for more than 200 organizations and programs, and developed Ford Motor Company’s International giving strategies. She worked for AT&T, 1999-2001, as Vice President, Legislative Affairs, where she tracked key telecommunications business related legislation and served as a registered lobbyist with local, state legislative and executive branches of government. She also served as Director of Government Relations for South Florida during her tenure with AT&T. Additionally, Egusquiza worked with Miami-Dade County Government as Executive Director of the Dade County Legislative Delegation and Community Outreach Specialist, and with the Florida Senate as a Legislative Assistant.

Egusquiza has served on the board of numerous nonprofits and currently serves as a board member for the Smithsonian Latino Center and is a founding member of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility’s Corporate Executive Forum. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Miami.
