Florida Healthcare Diversity Summit

The Lee Memorial Health System and the Florida Diversity Council proudly present the Florida Healthcare Summit on June 6, 2014. The Gulf Coast Medical Center will host this event on Cultural Competence and Excellence in Healthcare to evidence the importance of Diversity as being a key aspect of the cure for some of the deficiencies in healthcare fields today.

The day will begin sharply at 8 a.m. with registration and breakfast. For the remainder of the day guests will hear opening remarks from Josh Detillio, Chief Administrative Officer of the Gulf Coast Medical Center and the Keynote address from Jim Nathan, CEO of the Lee Memorial Hospital System. A break will occur from 9:45 am to 10:00 am for guests to greet and network amongst each other. The latter portion of the summit will resume with three informative panel sessions: �Stepping Outside Hospital Walls�, �Mental Health Outlook in Diverse Communities� and �Graying America�. The summit will end with a panel session question and answer portion, closing remarks and recognition of the speakers who made this summit a success.

The 2014 Florida Diversity Summit will again bring together some the brightest minds and most credible professionals from the healthcare field of the Sunshine State. Florida has a lot to be proud of when it pertains to world-class healthcare and practitioners. This summit will discuss in great depth the importance of diversity in all aspects of the healthcare profession. Guests are encouraged to share sound best practices with each other to enhance the healthcare system and create a community of professionals that stand on behalf of diversity and all of the benefits associated.
